"Building Lives on the Rock"
Missions
Mexico Missions 2003
Most churches and homes in the poor areas of
Mexico have no plumbing. This is an example of a
common "baño" (restroom) at one of the churches.
A common church building in the poor areas of
provide an important place for the people to worship
and hold classes out of the weather. There are no
community buildings and their houses have room for
little more than a sleeping area. Many missions start in
the "living room" of a Christian family which is their
front yard.
Many children in Mexico live in deep poverty with little
to wear much less to play with. Children playing with
rocks in the road were given stuffed toys by the
advance team in January.

new classromms built. They have always been faithful
to use the funds properly.

Betsaida
In this picture, as you can see, are many children
ranging from little children to early teenagers.
They all enjoy coming to hear about the Lord, and
spending time with friends, as they learn about
God.
La Lima
This is Tenec village, La Lima. In this photo you
can see both parents and children enjoying a
puppet show, and praising the Lord.

This is a tin roof at Mission Betsaida. We have
been donating money to Mission Betsaida to help
them purchase larger land for the mission, and
repair this roof.

Here are just a few of the children at the Tenec
village, in recent years the number of children
have grown. This is a blessing from the Lord.

years, and in this year as well, are a few clowns
that come to perform a show using what the kids
have learned.
El Faro (The Lighthouse) is a
mission outreach of Rockview
Church to Spanish speaking
countries.  At this time our
mission outreach is focused
on Mexico, where God is
moving in a great way, with
many souls coming to Christ
and new churches being
established.  The principle
strategies of El Faro include:
•        Sending mission teams
to assist new missions.
•        Sending Bibles and
materials to the churches and
missions.
•        Assisting the missions in
building projects
•        Providing humanitarian
assistance to the poor,
including food, clothing and
medical

During the past few years,
Rockview Church has
concentrated our efforts in
Ciudad Mante and Ciudad
Valles.   An additional mission
point has been added in the
Tenek Indian area of La
Lima.  We held Vacation Bible
Schools and evangelistic
services in the mission areas
and provided cases of Bibles
and funds for land acquisition
and building projects.  It has
been exciting to see the
missions develop into self
supporting churches..

Due to lack of funds and a
shortage of workers, El Faro
has struggled to meet our
goals the last couple of
years.  It is our hope and
prayer that the Lord will
provide the summer
missionaries and the funds to
make up for lost time.  Please
pray for El Faro Missions and
consider supporting the work
in central Mexico.  Please
view the photos of the work
accomplished there during
the past few years.
